Conte Philosophique[edit]

Hello I just wrote a huge part of the Article on L'Ingénu by Voltaire, but I need a real expert to tell me if I should create a page about Voltaire's Conte Phisolophique genre because it is considered a genre in France and French literature.

This article should be either deleted or re-written completely. Apart from the subjectivity, childish writing style and lack of substance, the article also contains an incredible number of errors considering it's brevity. I'm no expert on the subject myself, but having read the book and studied French history it's obvious that this is article is as likely to misinform or confuse as it is to educate. As an example, there was no French Police force at the time of this book's publication (I believe that came nearly 200 years later, and even the Gendarmerie was decades away), and censorship was the prerogative of the monarchy.
