If Kathakali has won global acclaim as one of the most advanced dance-dramas of the world, then Kottakkal Chandrasekharan is one of its leading exponents.

His eminence comes clear in the facts that he has been serving as the principal one of Kerala's foremost Kathakali institutes, has a guru as renowned as Padma Shri Vazhenkada Kunchu Nair.
