More albums and credit[edit]

Moore has worked on other things, such as his involvement with the Sonic Adventure REMIX album from 1998. Not going to actually do the research because I'm not knowledgeable enough, but just throwing it out there. 104.166.227.185 (talk) 06:57, 30 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled[edit]

"Kevin and a mellotron" - doesn't look like a Mellotron to me (7-6-07). Update 9-6-07 -- OK, no-one else changed it, so I did, as I'm 99.9 per cent sure it's not a Mellotron. It now says "Kevin in the studio", which is a bit lame, so if anyone can put in the name of the synth (looks like an old one!), or think of something better, go for it. ("Kevin wears headphones so as not to disturb his elderly neighbours" probably not so good).

Dream Theater Template[edit]

<Jun-Dai 7 July 2005 19:29 (UTC)>

Seems kind of fucked up to have the bigass dream theater template at the bottom of the page, when Kevin left the band ten years ago. Especially since most of the links in that template don't have anything to do with Kevin.

</Jun-Dai>

Dream Theater is the only reason he has a Wikipedia article, it's how most people know him, so I think it should stay. plattopustalk July 8, 2005 05:50 (UTC)
<Jun-Dai 8 July 2005 06:31 (UTC)> Be that as it may, that doesn't really justify having all of those records that he's not on in the list. It's like having a link to the Sydney opera house in an article about Melbourne. It's one thing to have a band member template (like a city template or a film template) that related details of him in a similar format, but it's another thing altogether to have all of this post-Moore dream theater information plastered on the bottom of his article. </Jun-Dai>
It's not a "Kevin Moore" infobox, it's a Dream Theater infobox with information relevant to Dream Theater. Kevin is in the box, so the box should appear at the bottom of his page. Sure, he doesn't have a direct link to Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence, but it's an album by his former band, so it's not completely unrelated. plattopustalk July 8, 2005 10:14 (UTC)

The article says he grew tired of "the monotany of progressive metal". This doesn't sound entirely NPOV to me...I think it should be changed to "what he felt was the monotomy of progressive metal" or something similar. Just my $0.02.

Then why is Kevin Moore in the infobox? It should be re-added.--Russoc4 02:32, 1 November 2006 (UTC) Look at the Template:G3 (tour band). All the past members of the tour still have the box. --Russoc4 02:35, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In the case of Chris Collins and Charlie Dominici, the template is justifiable given that they are exclusively known for being a part of Dream Theater's history, which is not the case with Derek Sherinian and Kevin Moore. The Derek Sherinian article does not sport the DT template, and neither should the Kevin Moore article. It makes no sense having a huge template that is only partly related to the person in question clutter up the article. The way I see it, there is no automation in having a template shown in an article, just because the article is reflected in the template. This issue has been discussed earlier with plattopus. If you don't want the DT infobox on Kevin Moore's page, then please remove his name from the infobox. You will probably start an uprising with all from the DT page. Until you successfully lobby to have him removed from the box, it stays here. Also, Chris Collins and Charlie Dominici are both known for works other than with DT, and they still have the box. Derek Sherinian also now has the box. If you want to remove it from all 4 former members, be my guest. Also, if you want to stop wasting time on a stupid infobox, help make the content on the Kevin Moore page better.--Russoc4 02:34, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you[edit]

I appreciate the contributions thus far - I hope to hear more about Kevin if anyone can add more. John G

hit his official site for more, there's tons of good stuff! Justabaldguy 01:53, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Not the first live show[edit]

The last section says "In March 2007, Moore performed his first live show since leaving Dream Theater in 1994". This of course is not true, he played with Fates Waning in Athens in 2005. Mavroprovato (talk) 13:44, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That is right. I noticed that in the page just now. Repner1 (talk) 22:23, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Influence[edit]

Is influencing the Sonata Arctica keyboardist really worthy of its own section? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 136.181.195.10 (talk) 13:37, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mooreatorium link[edit]

See WP:EL on why The Mooreatorium site should not be linked to on this page. It is a non-notable fansite, which means that it should not be linked to, according to point 11 here.

Until an adequate reason can be given, and a consensus reached here, a link to the Mooreatorium shouldn't be on this page. As such any attempts to re-add the link before reaching a consensus here will be reverted. Thanks, Una LagunaTalk 10:28, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
