Plant Production[edit]

UK cement consumption (excluding slag, ash, etc) for the years 2007-2012 was (million tonnes) 13.01, 11.30, 8.66, 8.98, 9.58, 8.91 respectively (Government data). Unless Ketton's output was one quarter of this, then the assertion that it supplies one quarter of the UK's needs is absurd. In actual fact, over that period it supplied a little over 10% of the national total. The reference to a quarter of UK consumption in the company website refers to the entire production of Hanson's three plants. Apart from this, it's a great page.
