Advert?[edit]

Um, this article reads like Ketel One wrote it..,

If nothing else, I wonder if this is a copyright violation, ripping off their own marketing. 71.194.163.223 20:32, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

if they did it would have strange dutch words in it :D Markthemac (talk) 23:19, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Don't you think they can hire someone? This is very advertorial. Salix2 (talk) 17:53, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ketel One Vodka - page edit[edit]

Hi, I wondered if anyone could help more on the above discussion.

I'm a communications professional working with Ketel One Vodka and I'd like to suggest some changes to our Wikipedia page to add more insight and information.

Following the feedback and recommendations I received above, which was much appreciated, I'd like to suggest some revised changes to our Wikipedia page, which are now sourced. The following changes I wish to be made are:

Timeline

@AdamF Grayling: Thank you for proceeding by making your edit request on the talk page and providing sources. I apologize that it took so long for someone to answer it.
I have built a prose history section based on some of the sources you have provided here. I have not incorporated all of the sources as frankly, most of the information is in multiple sources. I did not put it in the timeline format that you put here as prose is preferable.
Please let me know if there's anything important that you feel I have missed or left out. Also, if you have other suggested additions/corrections/changes to the article, please let me know. You can leave comments on this talk page and use {{ping|ONUnicorn}} to alert me. You can also make use of the {{edit COI}} again. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 18:39, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
One thing we need to decide and watch for, is if the article should focus on the product (Ketel One) or the company (Nolet Distillery). Also, if the company has notability separate from the Ketel One brand it might be worth having two articles. It's something to think about. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 19:12, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The more I research and look into this; the more I think the article should be about Nolet, and Ketel One should probably redirect to Nolet Distilleries. The article at Nolet can have a list of products, including Ketel One. The story of Nolet is interesting, and although Ketel One seems to be an important Vodka brand, its story cannot be adequately told apart from that of the distillery. There's currently a redirect at Nolet Distilleries, pointing back here. It'll take an admin to move this page over the redirect and then we can re-focus the article. If no one objects, I'll request that an administrator move this. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 21:50, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I am unsure of that - the fact is that almost all of the marketing and sales are by Diageo which has a fairly strong connection to the branding as a top tier vodka. The Nolets are not in that same position. Also folks looking for information about the product are unlikely to say "aha - must look under Nolet!" - the search term which is likely is "ketel" for sure. @ONUnicorn: Hi, we're happy with the page as it is. Thank you so much for your efforts, it's very much appreciated. AdamF Grayling (talk) 13:37, 29 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Kettle One’s Ad in US[edit]

Just saw their advertisement on television! It made me so thirsty to try Ketel One in their grapefruit & rose flavor! I would definitely have to add a tall dark and handsome man to that commercial handing me that drink though! Kudos for the lady reaching through the rose bushes and coming up with a rose petal in her hand then reaching for the glass with the grapefruit slice. 216.162.107.209 (talk) 18:08, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
