I challenge thee[edit]

I challenge to you disprove ANY of this information. It is in fact- all credible because I've seen Karl, Sea Cows and I've met Rear Admiral Sisson. Shame to you all for doubting me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.63.240.117 (talk) 17:46, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nobody need to disprove anything, you need to prove it with verifiable sources instead. We don't allow unsourced information on Wikipedia. 山本一郎 (会話) 22:37, 1 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

To the person(s) who keeps adding fallacious nonsense to the Kennisis Lake Site: You are making our lake a laughing stock with your sophomoric--nay puerile--comments. I am assuming you are one of the "silly" Sissons. If this doesn't stop I will report you to the Kennisis Lake Cottage Owners Association. Try getting a job writing for Mad Magazine instead of making people think everyone around our lake is a childish as you.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.71.5.25 (talkcontribs) 23:53, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

To the vigilante who continues to remove our posts: First, I must commend you for your excellent use of the english language. Clearly, you are a master wordsmith. I assume that you are some sort of philosopher. I understand that you think this information is fallacious (which sounds SO sexy). However, being one of the most intelligent people that has ever walked our green Earth, you are well aware that reality is subjective. Your view of the world differs from mine. We can only assume something exists, if a large number of people believe in it. Everyone that lives around Kennisis Lake believes in Karl, therefores Karl exists. The Sissons are well aware of our 'sophomoric--nay purile--comments'. Initially, I decided to update Wikipedia's Kennisis Lake page, and now it seems like many people have decided to add to it. You can report the Sissons to the KLCOA, however they are not involved with it whatsoever. I would laugh my ass off if I read the next KLCOA minutes and see a reference to Karl. This would provide me with the external reference I need to make the entry permanent.

But I understand your position. Those bastards that live on Maple Lake are probably reading this article and laughing at us! Thank goodness we have city folk like yourself to enforce the rules. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.92.173.42 (talkcontribs) 21:12, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your argument about subjectivism is totally specious. This can be proven by a simple experiment. Round up a few of your redneck buddies who don't BELIEVE in Mac trucks. Stand on the highway and I will drive one at you at 100 kmph. If you end up dead, you were wrong. Thinking something doesn't make it so.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Conerdoon (talkcontribs) 13:37, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hopefully the vandalism of this site will now stop. Kennisis Lake is a beautiful place. Most of the residents and cottagers care deeply about the environment and want to make the lake a better place. Sophomoric, scatological and blatantly false material should not be allowed on the site. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Conerdoon (talkcontribs) 16:39, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm confused- are you arguing that the hilarious articles on this site are proof of environmental indifference? How so? When someone reads this article, do you really think that they take it seriously? Does this page damage the lake's reputation? I kinda feel bad for you. Truth be told- this site allows me and my friends to edit this page all I want. There is nothing illegal or immoral going on. You can edit it too! I suggest you do! I plan to find/create external links for Karl the Lake Kennisis monster, allowing this page to become permanent. And another thing- where can I find people who don't believe in Mack trucks? Are you suggesting I should kill myself? What an awful thing to say! You should be ashamed of yourself. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.92.172.116 (talk) 20:46, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I assume you are a student. You have an excellent ability to produce good writing and clever satire. I bet you do well in English, especially creative writing. The problem here is that Wikipedia is a website dealing with factual information. You have not provided any references for your claims about Karl, porcelain toilets or any of your humorous but patently false inventions. The kind of material you have provided would be funny and appropriate on SNL or in satirical articles. I encourage you to hone your skills, but you need to find the appropriate venue. I do compliment you on your wit and creativity, though. Have you read Mark Twain or Kurt Vonnegut? I also recommend Fran Leibowitz. You'll love it! ```` —Preceding unsigned comment added by Conerdoon (talkcontribs) 14:54, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

On the theme of factual information, Big Kennisis is at most seven or eight kilometres long, a distance not even the most subjectivist take on reality can exaggerate into the 23 claimed in the article. Little Kennisis might add three or four kilometres to the total. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.71.121.53 (talk) 03:37, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Karl The Lake Kennisis Monster[edit]

If I have a photo, which proves Karl's existence, will you all then accept that he is real? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.95.239.137 (talk) 11:52, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's not important if he/it is real, but you need a reference to show that people think it/he is real. -- User:Docu

He now has authentic external references. Long live Karl! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.68.46.151 (talk) 23:00, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Myspace is not an acceptable source for pretty much anything. I have removed the section. THEN WHO WAS PHONE? (talk) 23:04, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

According to Wikipedia's policy on referencing, your statement above is incorrect. Cheers! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.68.46.151 (talk) 23:07, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
