Name[edit]

In Ancient Sites of O'ahu: A Guide to Hawaiian Archaeological Places of Interest by Van James, I came across the name "Keaīwa Heiau". Can anyone else confirm or refute this name? This page isn't much help. —Kal (talk) 07:46, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed that. Keaiwa Heiau mentions both spellings, but the authoritative source is the standard dictionary, cf. Mary Kawena Pukui; Samuel Hoyt Elbert; Esther T. Mookini (2004). "lookup of Keaīwa". in Place Names of Hawai'i. Ulukau, the Hawaiian Electronic Library, University of Hawaii Press. Best, --ThT (talk) 17:54, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
