Eisleben years[edit]

As distinct from what has been said in the article (and in some sources), this Schröder (born 1816) did not study in Eisleben with Gustav Siebeck (born 1815). The one who actually studied with Siebeck in Eisleben was another Karl Schröder (1823—1850), the composer, as we can see from his obituary in Neue Zeitschrift für Musik, 1850, No. 22, S. 112.
