California wildfires of October 2007[edit]

This radio station distinguished itself and achieved national noteriety covering the California wildfires of October 2007 using Google Maps (see KPBS Google Map). The station's coverage became a national story (see Google News Search). When KPBS's tranmitter lost power (fire damage) station KBZT carried KPBS's coverage (see San Diego Union-Tribune: KPBS-FM stays on air, with help). – Sorry I don't have time to write the article. – Conrad T.
