– The baseball player should definitely be the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC per page views and long-term significance. The baseball player article averages 397 views per day while the other eight Julio Rodriguez articles average way fewer views than this article. Ccai2053 (talk) 01:54, 22 January 2023 (UTC)

  • Weak oppose, way too many persons with the same name and I'm not sure this one is ahead of them in long-term significance.--Ortizesp (talk) 06:32, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
  • Oppose per Ortizesp. The baseball player would have to be fantastically well-known to qualify as primary topic given how many there are on the list and how common the name is. He isn't. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:43, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
  • Support. There is a part of me that thinks this could be too soon. After all, he has one season. But after I checked pageviews, I don't see any other Julio Rodriguez that could be primary, and most have 0-1 view. So, I think it's fair enough. If this fails I would recommend trying again in a few seasons. --Quiz shows 16:51, 24 January 2023 (UTC)
    • None of them is primary, including him. That's the point. -- Necrothesp (talk) 11:20, 25 January 2023 (UTC)
  • WikiNav here is broken for me for some reason. Mass views seems to be overwhelming. --Joy (talk) 17:42, 24 January 2023 (UTC)
  • Oppose per Ortizesp and Necrothesp. There are nine men listed upon the Julio Rodríguez disambiguation page, with no apparent consensus that the current notability of the baseball player is sufficient for his elevation to primary topic above the combined prominence of the other eight men. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 02:04, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
  • Oppose. It's way too common of a name for the baseball player to get the primary article. Spanneraol (talk) 02:11, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
  • Support While I understand that the baseball player is new on the scene, none of the other J.R.'s hold a candle to this one even after one season. I imagine there will be consensus for this move in a year or two. – Muboshgu (talk) 02:14, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
  • Oppose Not yet with all of the other people named Julio Rodríguez, but I agree with Muboshgu that there could be consensus in time.  MainPeanut  (talk) 02:24, 27 January 2023 (UTC)
