He went to law school while still in college? Is this even possible?

No, you have to have a Bachelor's degree before entering law school. I checked out the official Judge Alex website, and it says that he was a police officer through college and law school. I also have problems with the use of the word "trial lawyer". If he was involved with litigation, just use "litigator", a broader, but more appropriate term. "Trial lawyer" makes it sound like he was not involved with the pleadings, discovery, or motions - he just appeared on the scene when the civil action went to trial. Some lawyers do this, but I assume the person who chose the term was using it inaccurately.

THat is some pretty good information you have to the writer above me about Judge Alex. You should write down your name by going ( ````) so you have credit for it and go and add it to the article. Happy editing Twentyboy 02:28, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Judge Alex's Courtroom[edit]

Maybe there should be something in the article about Judge Alex having the fanciest looking courtroom. He has the best courtroom by far. I love the pretty colors. It reminds me of the Dr. Phil set. It makes you want to watch a little more when the courtroom design is very nice. I just love his courtroom. I particular also like it because it's lit up better than all the rest of the courtrooms. The People's Court and Judge Hatchet's courtroom and the rest of those courtrooms look so dull. Judge Alex is pretty fair too. I think the 2nd best looking courtroom is Judge Mathis. This article has two subjects mixed together. People seem to be confused, because Judge Alex refers to the name of the show, not the host; Alex Ferrer is the host. This is why I added this tag. Anthony Rupert 16:30, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There should be an Alex Ferrer article because of his role in the Supreme Court case Preston v. Ferrer. I'll add a note in this article about the case but it really doesn't belong in the article about the show; it belongs in the article about the individual. It's weird to shove it in the "biography" section. If anyone knows where the case ended up after the Supreme Court ruling and who ended up paying whom how much, please add it to the article (and also to Preston v. Ferrer). Image:JudgeAlex.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. Biased claims, and written like an ad for the show[edit]

Added templates in hopes of a fix, "Ellen DeGeneres may be the most down-to-earth talk show host and Oprah Winfrey is certainly the most influential. But when it comes to the most trustworthy daytime host, Judge Alex Ferrer bests them both. Judge who? Ferrer, who sits on the bench in Miami, is no Judge Judy in name recognition, and he hasn't been on TV all that long--just three years--which is why media buyers would know far less about him.

But viewers get him, and they get his show, "Judge Alex," especially daytime’s key demo, women 25-54."
