Contested deletion[edit]

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (your reason here) --Elenatina (talk) 04:44, 13 September 2021 (UTC) This is my first Biography of living persons. I've tried to write the article from a Neutral Point of View and added citations for almost every statement. If you can let me know which part of the article looks overly promotional, I can fix it.[reply]

  • Comment: I was involved in the initial AfC review of this article, and I'm very happy with how this article developed over time. Hats off to Elenatina for writing this article.

Moved to mainspace by Elenatina (talk). Nominated by Mikehawk10 (talk) at 05:26, 9 November 2021 (UTC).[reply]

  • @Mikehawk10: Article is new and big enough. both Hooks appear in article. Are referenced and confirmed. I think the original hook is better, not packing so much information. no QPQ is required, as this is the first nomination. No violation detected. two sections are unreferenced: Motion capture acting and Voice-over / animation. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 08:06, 18 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Content deletion/modification discussion - November 2021[edit]

Snippet 1:[edit]

Deleted content:

He donned the sandals of the character of Christ for the first time in an International, touring multi-media project about the life of St. Faustina called Faustina: Messenger of Divine Mercy and subsequently in The Two Thieves.[1]

Modified to:

He played the character of Christ for the first time in a touring multi-media project about the life of St. Faustina called Faustina: Messenger of Divine Mercy [2] and subsequently in 'Once we were Slaves/The Two Thieves'.

Any objections, feel free to comment. Elenatina (talk) 11:14, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like you already made those changes. The phrasing "touring multi-media project" is not very clear–better to clarify that a film featuring Roumie was part of a play. --bonadea contributions talk 12:48, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Birth year[edit]

It would appear that 1974 is the correct year. I had reverted based on some anon IP edits that made this change without any edit summary (which can sometimes indicate disruptive editing), so if you're an IP, use an edit summary so other editors know your intentions or better yet, register. Anyway... from looking at his age in a couple of sources (like [1]), doing the math yields 1974. It is WP:SYNTH, but that's the best I've found at this point. It would be best to have a citable source, but in absence of that, the alternatives are either editorial synthesis (as it is now) or not at all. ButlerBlog (talk) 14:26, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

After so many reverts, bad info added, no sources, who the heck knows for sure. We can stick with 1974, but I think it might not be a bad idea to protect the article temporarily. Roumie's fame has been growing since his appearance on The View a couple of weeks ago and on Colbert (in the audience, Mark Wahlberg gave him a shout out) the other night. The article will attract more attention for a while and more vandalism as well. A4M2 Alaska4Me2 (talk) 16:37, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Page protection is not usually applied preemptively (see WP:PREEMPTIVE). You could request it, but based on the current history, I'd be surprised if it were approved. ButlerBlog (talk) 18:44, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
