Joktan

Father to the original speakers of the Indo-European language type.

The sons of Joktan are probably the largest group of related people in one area at the time of populating the Earth.

It says their settlement stretch out from Mesha as you go toward Sephar the hills / mountains of the East. Considering this is a reference to the whole world then greatest hills as in the way of mountains in the East would obviously be the Himalayas. Therefore if there is a possibility that Sephar is a reference to the Himalayas, then Mesha would be somewhere in Central Asia as this passage was written in the Middle East.

Looking back in history then we find a large number of people that spoke the Indo-Iranian language types and they all seem to have centered from somewhere in central Asia to the west of the Himalayas. There are recording of various people such as the White Huns going down into India who it is believed were the ancestors to the Jatts and Gohans of the Panjab region. There are also many reference of tribes traveling west into Europe and may also have given similar names to people such as the Juts of Scandinavia.

All the way into Europe and then down through Iran into India we find the remnants of a people with a hairy Caucasian appearance, matched DNA and also a match in language type know as Indo-European. There have even been discoveries of blonde haired Caucasian mummies in Western China that date to a time prior to the present Mongoloid inhabitants.

It seems that these people covered a vast amount of land but were later displaced and pushed south and west by Turkic speaking Mongoloid people from the North and East.

Could these people be the obvious fitting to the people known as the ‘sons of Joktan’? Could Jokt be a Hebrew variation to the title that gives us the lineage names such as Jatt, Juts, Goths & Gotra?

Slavic people are also believed to be a branch of these people who came into Europe and may have spread down into Macedonia and Greece giving the Greek language. The People on the Greek islands of Crete are from a different people who according to the Bible come from Noah’s son Japheth.

The original inhabitants of the British Isles are believed to have originated from the Mediterranean which would explain why Middle Eastern words are found in Welsh.

The Basques who believe they are the original inhabitants of Southern France and Northern Spain speak a language that has no relation to the Indo-European group.

Armenians possibly get their name from Aram who is from a different branch of Shem’s family and therefore would have spoke Aramaic.
