The article was moved from Johnny Stevens to John Stevens with the comment "No one ever addressed him as Johnny" in the edit summary, implying that this doesn't require discussion. The edit summary has a URL to a New York Times article that refers to him as John but doesn't seem to support the assertion that he was never addressed as Johnny.

The UPI blurb about his death refers to him as John W. "Johnny" Stevens.
