John KearnsJohn Kearns (footballer) – The name John Kearns is ambiguous with John Kearns, an MTV Europe VJ. Agalas (talk) 11:27, 13 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. The MTV VJ has no article that I can see, so no such disambiguation is needed. There is John Kearns (politician) though, and I don't see a strong case for the footballer being the primary topic, but I also don't see how a dab page would improve on the current hatnote. • What are you proposing?, none of the 4 John Kearns (footballer, politician, stubless VJ, stubless comedian) are particularly notable though John Kearns might do well to be a disamb with all 4 listed, and the comedian and VJ redlinked in case they become notable later. In fact the VJ and comedian are likely to be confused so turning John Kearns into a 4-person hndis page (which is what I assume you're proposing) is sensible, if that's what you mean? • Oppose -- The present article has a capnote for a Canadian politician. If we newed an article for the VJ (and I do not know what that means), it can be created at John Kearns (VJ). John Kearns (disambiguation) should also be created and the capnote on the existing article replaced with an "otherpersons" dablink. Peterkingiron (talk) 21:42, 15 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - only two John Kearnseses have articles, footballer and politician, hatnote linking former to latter is fine. GiantSnowman 16:53, 18 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. Don't see why the footballer should be the primary topic; wouldn't a disambiguation page make more sense? Mattythewhite (talk) 23:04, 18 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

John Kearns (Comedian)[edit]

I have created an article on the Comedian following his Best Newcomer Award at the Edinburgh Fringe John Kearns (Comedian). Is there now a case to reassess the disamuglation situation?

BIrthplace[edit]

Where does the information about "Chasetown" come from? The only linked source in the article says Nuneaton. Same goes for the birthdate, the link doesn't give it, but rather some unspecific "1880-04-XX". --Anvilaquarius (talk) 18:42, 11 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
