Namesake[edit]

Have deleted the "namesake" entry in Infobox as linked to a disambiguation page and lacking source for which John Bowles it was. Most likely candidate is John Bowes (art collector), his business partner and coal owner. Or perhaps in honour of the latter's late father John Bowes, 10th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne. But that would be original research. Davidships (talk) 13:00, 26 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Found specific reference that she was named after John Bowes (art collector), who was also High Sheriff of Durham in 1852-1853. Davidships (talk) 00:39, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

CLIP website[edit]

@Davidships: - as you added the CLIP reference, maybe you'd like to revisit the website and correct the urls, as it appears that webpages have been moved within that website. Mjroots (talk) 10:08, 19 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
