Untitled[edit]

I have added some details to this page, and put in the full reference for "Shopped". I shall appreciate it if this article could also include references to other books by Blythman. Does any one know her date of birth? ACEO 18:49, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Not written from a neutral point of view[edit]

Rather than biographical details, it is primarily a list of awards she's won. Phrases like "covering subjects as diverse as" clearly attempt to talk up the range of topics she has written about instead of simply listing them. It is not Wikipedia's job to make a value judgement about whether her topic list is diverse or not, only to report what that list actually is. There is also no criticism here at all, or background on the author to assist readers in their own critical judgement. Saying that she talks about "the causes of obesity" implies unquestionable, absolute knowledge rather than merely discussing theories on the topic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.246.1.230 (talkcontribs) 19:38, 23 March 2014‎

Nothing favoring one POV has actually been said. Keri (talk) 16:17, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I have to agree that this is a very unchallenging article. Blythman is just another pop nutritionist who makes unsubstantiated faddy assertions in the tradition of Gillian McKeith. --Ef80 (talk) 19:23, 9 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Here's some criticism of Blythman's journalism from an independent and disinterested source - unfortunately, it's from a blog, so not citeable on Wikipedia: https://mylespower.co.uk/2013/10/01/10-reasons-why-joanna-blythman-is-an-uneducated-fear-monger/ Robert P Connolly (talk) 12:32, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
