Undoing Whitewashing Reputation Management[edit]

There appear to be attempts to change this article to avoid or downplay the most significant basis for the subject's notability (the allegations and circumstances of his removal from Stony Brook University). There are multiple reliable sources that address these issues, and the coverage simply dominates that of his accomplishments in athletic administration. It is unfortunate that his tenure ended in such a way, but attempting to hide factual information and replace it with unsourced unproven statements is inappropriate. The subject is merely an unremarkable athletic administrator who attracted attention for alleged misconduct. 47.20.44.180 (talk) 01:55, 25 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that the previous article was not a good one, but this new article was a very clear violation of both WP:BLP and WP:NPOV. I have cleaned it up, keeping in mind that issues around the firing are the main reason he is notable. I also agree that he may not really be notable at all beyond that one event, which is a problem in and of itself. Usterday (talk) 19:53, 16 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Lead paragraph[edit]

I have made adjustments to the page to ensure it is balanced enough to pass WP:NPOV and WP:BLP. The last thing I am wondering about is the lead. Yes, there was a great deal of press that came out around his termination regarding potential reasons, however the person has never been charged, reprimanded, or otherwise officially impugned as the media coverage might suggest. I think this merits inclusion in the body, but having it the second sentence of the lead paragraph, to me, is tricky water when it comes to BLP. Before making a change, I thought I would ask here to see if there were any disagreements. Usterday (talk) 22:55, 16 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Editor above is a confirmed sock, added this after multiple reputation management edits and not as indicated before.  B E C K Y S A Y L E 02:30, 19 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
