Just created[edit]

I've just created this article and suspect it may already exist.

Presently, it is inexcusably sloppy.

Gray is rather significant figure. I will work to improve this and hope some others will contribute Calamitybrook (talk)

First little hump[edit]

Thanks to a few contributors for improving this article.
Please continue.
I too, have tried to make some slight refinements.
Difficulty now, due to my laziness, is to add footnotes & a few sources.
The stuff is sourced mostly, but not cited.
As I see it, this article would not ever become highly extensive.
I do think (& this probably is to remain a mere off-the-record intuition) that Gray's "Warriors" book had outsized and largely uncredited influence on various fictional/non-fiction documents (film & print) of Vietnam War. Also for example, Sebastian Junger's recent work on Afghanistan...... Will & probably has been grist for various unknown graduate thesis etc.

I will declare up front, that I wrote a very lame and uninformed letter to J. Glenn Gray when I was 18 years old and he replied with great politeness via US Postal Service. Certain editors can therefore tag this article as COI if they like.
Perhaps I'll add the tag myself!

Added stupid tag. I should be so lucky to have "close connection" with this guy........Have been thoughtlessly victimized by this tag on other pages as cheap and dumb shot by crazy editor....I guess am needlessly courting controversy on a page that few care about.
Legitimate concern is content. I will delete tag or not..........but would love more attention improving this page.
