Found a record in the California Divorce Index 1966-1984 at Ancestry.com for Gerald Douglas and Arlene G Sax. It was filed in Monterey County, Nov 1973. The marriage year given is 1963. The birth year provided for Gerald Douglas is 1932, and 1936 for Arlene Sax. Consequently, this record appears to be consistent with Jerry Douglas' and Arlene Martel's commonly accepted years of birth, stage/birth names, birth year of daughter Avra, etc. Therefore, it seems reasonable to conclude that they were married from 1963-73. Not sure about the copyright implications (information is from a commercial source taken directly from public record), or whether this information would be considered complete/rigorous enough to warrant an update, but...
