Repeated whitewashing occuring

I'm noticing repeated whitewashing of this account, potentially politically motivated, and am flagging these edits (detailed more in the history) for NPOV violations. Any other wiki editors have an opinion on this, especially around issues w/r/t existing politicians—and the long history of this article's proposed deletion, as detailed below? Contested deletion

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... Ms. Rajkumar is running for a seat that has been occupied by one man, the former speaker of the NYS assembly, for forty years, who was recently convicted of corruption. It is of vital importance for politicians to have Wikipedia pages, as Wikipedia is a source that millions of people use and is an accessible way for people to gather information on candidates for elections they will be voting in. --166.172.60.207 (talk) 19:43, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

(Jenifer Rajkumar is a very well known figure in New York City politics and this article reflects her long career and resume. Wikipedia is a public resource that many use to learn more about public figures and candidates they may vote for. This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (Additionally, this article is still a work in progress. We will continue to add sources and information. Ms. Rajkumar is highly accomplished individual and holds a very important elected office in Lower Manhattan. This article should absolutely NOT be deleted. Ms. Rajkumar is a VERY noteworthy politician in New York City who ran a very well-publicized campaign for New York City Council in 2013 and is currently running a highly publicized campaign for State Assembly. Additionally, Ms. Rajkumar is an elected official representing Lower Manhattan and has a very notable legal career. There is no reason for this article to be deleted. It is an important resource for voters to have access to and Ms. Rajkumar's achievements speak for themselves. She is a highly accomplished individual that has received press coverage across many publications including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Village Voice. This article is still a work in progress and more sources will be added in the coming days. Page Vandalism? Or NPOV violation? Please review

Hi fellow Wikipedians,

I hope you all are staying well. There are several issues with this page, and have seemed to begun on April 29, 2020, where one IP address began to make edits on Jenifer Rajkumar's page, all that seemed negative.

Upon researching Rajkumar, I found several links that clarified the supposed "controversy" topics. For example, under the Wikipedia page category: "2011 District Leader Race," it was placed that "Rajkumar sparked controversy for plagiarizing rival law firms' legal drafts in a $100 million legal battle against her apartment complex." The article cited says further on this topic, that the lawsuit was against Gateway Plaza landlords for their mistreatment of tenants and poor conditions. It further states that the accusation against Rajkumar was dropped, upon the three mentioned law firms (including Rajkumar's Sanford Heisler) joining together to take on the lawsuit. Another misinformed/misguided edit on this page, potentially also in violation of NPOV by IP user and Wikipedia users: "In 2013, Rajkumar ran for the New York City Council in the Democratic primary in New York City's first Council district, losing to incumbent Margaret Chin.[8] During the campaign, Rajkumar came under fire by the New York Post for falsifying a non-profit organization she claimed to be the head of to burnish her political resume." The New York Post article cited came under fire itself for stating that Rajkumar was trumpeting a nonprofit even though she admitted she had "not yet gotten it off the ground." The article was widely attacked by national women’s groups as sexist. NOW, the Women’s Campaign Fund, and “Name it. Change It.” highlighted it as a gender-biased attack claiming, “This subtle form of sexism focuses on her appearance, specifically her “beauty,” which diminishes her credibility as a candidate by evoking unfavorable gender stereotypes instead of focusing on substantive issues.” The Women’s Information Network (WIN) wrote: “Jenifer Rajkumar, was featured in an article that chose to use her looks instead of her accomplishments as the headliner. It’s blatantly sexist… She isn’t running in a beauty contest, she’s running for office, and her accomplishments matter.”

I ask that Wikipedia admins review this page and help prevent vandalism from happening, in addition to preventing sockpuppets from editing. I ask that these revisions be made, or adjust them to adhere to Wikipedia's policies. I do not have an extensive background on Wikipedia editing, and I ask that I be guided to make the correct edits.
