An anonymous user changed Skitch's year of birth to 1929. This cannot be right: Skitch himself said he was born in 1927. See here: http://shepsplace.net/family/individual.php?pid=I4986&ged=family.ged&tab=0 The rest of the new edit was an attempt to add the following: "with his wife Stella as Deputy Principal, and Headmistress. He and Stella produced many musical theatre productions over the years."

Dear Anonymous user: Verifiability is one of the key concepts of Wikipedia. In order for us to make corrections to the article, we need to have citations to published sources that prove that the changes you wish to make are true. Would you please let us know where you found this information? Perhaps interviews of Skitch, or newspaper/magazine clippings about him? Yearbooks from the school? Image[edit]

The picture used to represent Skitch is from Commons and is, allegedly, released by the copyright holder into the public domain. I think this is dubious:

the details on the Commons page say that it was taken from a theatre programme – but surely a copyright holder would upload from his or her original image
it is an exact duplicate of the picture in the Who was Who in D'Oyly Carte site here.

I have scanned another Skitch image which could be used as fair use if others agree that the Commons pic is of doubtful propriety. Tim riley (talk) 09:33, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Jeffrey Ralph Skitch, Actor, Singer and Academic On 7th March 2013 aged 85 after a short illness. Former principal baritone of the D’Oyly-Carte Opera Company, and Principal of Elmhurst School for the Performing Arts. Dear husband of Stella and brother to Robert (deceased). Very much-loved Dad of sons Robert and Philip and their wives, Anne and Silke. Dear grandfather to Chris, William, Alex, Simon, Katarina, Andrew, Rosanna, Tara and Tessa. Funeral on Wednesday March 20th 2013, 11am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 132 High Street Lymington Hampshire SO41 9AQ.
