Genre/subject[edit]

I found this article using the random button. i hope my edits are helpful. i am new to working on play articles. the template used doesnt give very good parameters for the genre and subject for plays, very open ended. what is here seems correct, but i sort of wish there was better consistency in categorizing plays. the category tree is very limited, also. "drama" is about it. and very few plays i looked up use the template! thats too bad. ill try to find more refs, otherwise someone may propose as crystal ball article. No problem. Anything to increase Wiki's knowledge of plays. I have yet to find a good definition on Wiki of the difference between comedy and farce for instance. Captainclegg (talk) 11:57, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oh yeah. Its much easier to report on measurable phenomena, but the areas of culture, language, ideas, and creativity are often abysmally described here. (i particularly dont like most plot summaries here, they read like high school book reports at times.) your point is well taken.
