Number[edit]

Jeffren is still number 20 in the squad, see FC Barcelona's official site at http://www.fcbarcelona.com/web/english/futbol/temporada_10-11/estadistiques/jugadors/Equip/fitxa.html . Zashaw (talk) 13:32, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oops, I'm wrong. It looks like they just haven't updated all of their site. Here's the official announcement of the number change to #11: http://www.fcbarcelona.cat/web/english/noticies/futbol/temporada10-11/09/01/n100901112672.html . Zashaw (talk) 17:59, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

20% "mais valia" / "plusvàlua"[edit]

There is two kinds of "mais valia" (means capital gains or players trading profit), but for sure it is not the 20% of the revenue Sporting received.

According to Porto annual report (and most of the club called in amortisation accounting), the meaning of Portuguese word "mais valia" was the revenue Porto received minus un-amortized asset value of the player's contract, which a club may still profitable if selling a player signed for 10million but now sold for 3million as he had a year left in his contract.

But in terms of players profit of other clubs, the club was saying the added value of the players, which some clubs wrote more specific that the value equal the portion of the deferential value that the club buy and sold (i.e. no mais =add, valia=value if the player sold for a lesser price), but totally unrelated to the 20% of revenue. (UEFA treat the differential value of buy and sold as "income" in financial fairplay terminology.) Matthew_hk tc 22:40, 18 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Jeffrén SuárezJeffrén – He is the only person named Jeffren in the wiki, and Jeffren is his football name. FCBWanderer (talk) 19:19, 27 December 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. echidnaLives - talk - edits 03:53, 4 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Weak oppose, a look at the references on the page show his last name is commonly used enough, that it's not exclusively a mononym. Ortizesp (talk) 04:01, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
