Want to have protection on the content of the page[edit]

The headline of the cited source is "আমার বয়স ৩৭, একদিনও বেশি নয় : জয়া আহসান" [I am 37, not more than a day: Jaya Ahsan].[1] That's an odd formulation to my ears. She's not exactly 37 because the article was published in December 2019 and her birthday is 1 July. Does she mean she's 36 (plus about five months)? If so, why not just say she's 36? The article goes on to say it doesn't matter whether she's 47 or 37, implying that she is 37. Subtracting 37 from 2019 yields a birth date of 1 July 1982, not 1983. Or have I lost something in translation?
Another source says she was born in 1972.[2] Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy means we shouldn't take sides, but should explain that there are two positions on the matter.

Birthdate conflicting references[edit]

CNN News18 has her celebrating her 47th birthday in 2019 (making the year of birth 1972). [3]. Daily Bangladesh has published two similar articles that conflict each other:

Published July 2019, by Entertainment Correspondent, says she is 47

Published December 2019 by Entertainment Desk, says she is 37

I was unable to find any Facebook posts with the quotes that both articles attribute to her. OhNoitsJamie ^Talk 15:19, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Actually there was a lot of confusion regarding the age of the said person. I have added the updated links to the source.

Starsunfolded and bookmyshow are not reliable for such info.

Sadly, IndiaTimes.com profiles often turn out to be just as unreliable. In this case it used to verify 1972 (https://web.archive.org/web/20190216080732/https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/topic/Jaya-Ahsan) but was changed without any note of why. Unless we can find where they document their error correction, we shouldn't use it. --Hipal/Ronz (talk) 17:18, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This has been cited on the main article, but I thought it would be worth mentioning since her birth year is being disputed. According to this[7] she got married in May of 1998. If she were born in either 1982 or 1983, then she would have been only 14 or 15 at the time. Kcj5062 (talk) 06:43, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
