Untitled[edit]

Why does "Hargreaves" redirect here? There are, presumably, other Hargreaves who have been written about. I was looking for Owen Hargreaves myself. I would create a disambiguation page but I don't know how. Anyone?

Citations[edit]

If anyone is watching I have copied over some primary sources. This whole area seems to be open to misinterpretation, and for the last 180 years Victorian school book and encyclopedias stated myths as facts. Caveat lector. Read Baines. History[edit]

The flying shuttle:

                               The flying shuttle was invented by john kay(1704-1764) in 1733. This device speeded up the weaving of cloth by enabling one Weaver to do the work of two. Since the process of spinning was vary slow, sufficient quantity if yarn was not available. This problem was finally solved by James Hargreaves. 49.15.138.96 (talk) 09:22, 29 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
