Curious sentence in list of references[edit]

I have removed the following from the references: "3.He also appears in a Sherlock Holmes' book.Arthur Conan Doyle says that James was the leader of the Ku Klux Klan. Finally he dies in his ship because of an accident in the Atlantic Ocean." There is no reference 3 in the article; I've no idea what "his ship" could refer to, and an accidental death at sea would be wholly fictional. It's conceivable that Conan Doyle inserted a fictional version of Calhoun into a story, but if so it would need to be verifiably referenced. MayerG (talk) 06:15, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
