OK, this article needs some serious revising. Weasel words abound, especially in the "legacy" section.

SL2H-MAH[edit]

The SL2H-MAH is any SL2H with a transparent paint finish on both body and headstock.

Hmm... I think the 'MAH' stands for mahogany, as opposed to alder. --WVH 05:09, 15 November 2006 (UTC) From my extensive research; The larger numbers (6 digits and a character) represent the model and number of the guitar. For example C = Charvel and 432113 would mean that it is a Charvel (Jackson made) and the 4 would mean that it is a Model 4 and 32113 would be the number of production. So if you have one that says C500112 then you have a model 5 and it was the 112th made. Hope this helps all of you out! As far as your number of 9626718, they were still making in 1989 (never having a model 9 so prehaps changed model for year) and you may should have a modle 6, but it would have to be neck thru with a floating bridge and the 26718 would mean that that was the order your guitar was produced.
