Subdivision?[edit]

A user has (i think) stated an intention of splitting the accompanying article, but IMO its current length would make that pointless and ugly: covering a small number of closely related topics each "eligible" for a single title are a good, not a bad, idea.

Well, i've just implemented a split of the article. Hopefully this was well done; i tried to retain all correct information and to include mention of the other courthouse in each one. In the process, I corrected/clarified misinformation. The combined article seemed to imply that both courthouses were listed on the National Register and were listed on the same date and had the same geographical coordinates, but only the Independence one is NRHP-listed and is at those coordinates. And other info in the NRHP infobox was confusing, too. I think this is a big improvement.
