Split[edit]

This article has lot of informations about Vigathakumaran. Being the first Malayalam film, Vigathakumaran deserves an individual article I think. Some information about the movie can be kept here too. -- Arfaz (talk) 20:31, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I support. The first film in Malayalam should have a unique article as is the first director J. C. Daniel. Even Rosie (the heroine) deserves an article. A recent Methrubhumi article gives a lot of information about her and acting in vigathakumaran. മലയാള സിനിമയിലെ ആദ്യനായിക റോസി

Possible DYK[edit]

I believe we can have a DYK. Any suggestions? -- Madhuric (talk) 12:56, 17 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

May be, what is a DYK :-)
Anish Viswa 13:17, 17 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Anish, you can have a look at Wikipedia:Did you know, so you will have a clear idea. Madhuric (talk) 13:29, 17 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
A DYK article should have been created in last 5 days or expanded 5 fold ( 5X) in last 5 days.. Then only it qualifies for a DYK article nomination, AFAIK -- Tinu Cherian - 15:19, 17 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Article has close to 6000 characters, but has only seven sources. It has also not been expanded 5x in the last fie days. 5x expansion would mean 30000 characters, which is a tough task. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 17:41, 17 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Err... Ok..Its really a tough job to expand article to 30000 characters. Anyways thanks for the response Tinu & Srikanth... -- Madhuric (talk) 03:48, 18 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Language cleanup[edit]

Have made significant changes in the article by language cleanup, upping the quality. I think Rosie deserves a separate section. Also possibly the pain and anguish experienced by J.C.D has not been brought out in this article and further edits are required to push this to a higher quality class. No Source[edit]

Please provide additional source for the facts and figures given in the article. Most of the facts were taken from the movie celluloid( or its reviews), or from the book by chelangattu gopalakrishnan. This is not an acceptable way while writing something about history — Preceding unsigned comment added by Am.sreenath (talkcontribs) 09:31, 30 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Confirmation about the date of birth[edit]

In Malayalam Wikipedia Daniel's date of birth is given as 1893 April 19, but here it's given as 1900 November 28. Which is correct..?--Joseph 04:44, 19 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
