I love these cars. This article provides excellent information for the isuzu newby. I noticed only one error in the whole thing. The 1.8 liter engine is 1809cc. The engines bore did remain the same just as the article stated while the stroke was increased to 90mm. They made this improvement to overcome the low end torque issue with the 1.6l engine that only had a 79mm stroke. External link war

There's clearly some sort of problem going on with the external links, and which one should go first, etc. Would the people involved please stop the edit war and describe in this talk page what their views are about the links? For what it's worth, one of the people involved came on IRC, and indicated that they knew personal details about the other person involved in the edit war. It's possible this means that this edit war is an extension of an existing off-site dispute. --Interiot 21:52, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

Isuzone should be added to the links because it is for the Isuzu Enthusiast. It is more highly used then any of the other links posted. Isuzone is nothing more than somewhere to find info and chat to other people who share the same interest. Its just a forum so why not add it. -Chance

I have no problem with Isuzone.org or "Isupage", both are non commercial informative sites. My is with the commercial site "Isuzuperformance". They have not made parts since 2002, even that website states "EFFECTIVE JUNE 17, 2002, WE HAVE DISCONTINUED A NUMBER OF HIGH END/LOW VOLUME PRODUCTS AND ALSO PRODUCTS WHICH WE HAD PREVIOUSLY SOLD AT A LOSS. IN ADDITION, WE WILL NO LONGER BE DEVELOPING NEW PARTS FOR ISUZU, GEO STORM, OR LOTUS VEHICLES TO SELL TO THE PUBLIC, AND WE ARE DISCONTINUING PRODUCTION OF OUR OWN ORIGINAL PARTS FOR THESE SAME VEHICLES, IN ORDER TO DEVOTE MORE PRODUCTION TO CHEVROLET AND PONTIAC HEADERS AND EXHAUST SYSTEMS." There is no need for a site that isnt even open for business.

I second the notion to keep Isuzone as a link, it has been a tremendous source of information to me about my isuzu car and to many others. it especially has an abundance of knowlegde about the Impulse and is simply a forum open for discussion about these cars and continues to be a contribution to the education about Impulse's and other isuzu cars alike. The site would be a very helpful and useful link for anyone seeking more information about anything on this model car or others alike with other resources such as pictures, and "how to" and, "where to" info to help anyone who wants it. Isuzone should be a link and should be the first link. As it is the only current source for Isuzu related topics and discussion. As Isuzu Performance has not been updated for atleast three years and the owner of that site has decided to not update, offer performance parts or be part of the Isuzu Community. As far as I am concerned his site should be completely taken off of the link site for good. Point blank the owner of Isuzu Performance keeps deleting Isuzone.org for personal reasons agianst the Isuzu Community and for whatever reason wants new comers to the community to think he is the end all be all of Isuzu. When his knowledge has been tested and proven minimal by the community over and over agian. There is NO OTHER place on the internet to gain current knowledge and performance tuning of our Isuzu Cars other than Isuzone.org. Isuzone is a non profit forum where poeple can come and share ideas, gain knowledge about their Isuzu made car.

Isuzuperformance was a for profit site years ago that cared nothing about his customers or the car itself but to make money selling pourly designed products of even lesser quality. He has since stoped selling products or offering any sort of help and being of any kind of value to the Isuzu performance car community. Everytime the owner of Isuzuperformance is contacted for information he may or may not have anymore they are greeted with disdain and contempt.

Re Isuzuperformance, ISTM that all of the links are direct links to specifications, sales data, etc. A lot of that information is not readily available elsewhere, and it is valuable information. IMO the links should be maintained, irrespective of anyone's opinions of the owner of the site.PMJzz 05:15, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

Huh?

Now, this isn't really something I can add (probably counts as "original research"), but back in the '80s, my family owned a Piazza. It suffered continual problems with reliability, and spare parts were difficult to obtain. We somehow ended up getting into contact with other people who had bought these useless lemons (this being the '80s, no internet, so goodness only knows how we did). Basically every one that was bought was returned for basic mechanical repairs. Eventually, when it came time to get rid of the car, it was even hard to find a salesman who'd accept it as a trade-in.

Looking at this page, there appears to be little or no evidence of this. Did we just end up in a bad cluster of cars? Or is something being ignored here? Johno 11:37, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I remember these cars. The suspension was a joke, they had serious handling problems. No surprise that the article mentions so many suspension changes - the original one was dangerously bad. 87.74.2.211 (talk) 21:43, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
