Reference the section that kept getting removed, there are two sources for it and neither of them could be remotely described as trivial. One of them is El Mundo which is the second biggest daily newspaper in Spain [1] - equivalent to say the Times or Guardian in Britain, while Libertidad Digital is cited as the third largest internet daily in Spain [2] and is one of the first sources which come up when googling for Navarro. [3] Additionally despite searching for them, I can find no sources which dispute ElMundo's version of events. Navarro herself doesn't appear to have anything to say on it. [4] It seems to me here that the correct way to move forward is for sources to be produced which dispute ElMundo's version, if they exist. Valenciano 21:15, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The links, news and facts that Mr. Valenciano wants to introduce are small talk and gossip. It´s wikipedia a yellow paper? Please, do see the spanish version of Isaura Navarro for the serious news outdates. Recicla 15.11.07

Sorry Recicla but that's not how Wikipedia works - if something appears in reliable sources then it can go in - I do propose to balance it by providing the alternative viewpoint where possible. ElMundo is certainly not a "yellow paper" (by the way prensa amarilla is usually translated into English as Tabloid press) it's the second biggest Spanish daily. If three reliable mainstream sources print something about the subject then we can't just ignore that just because the facts happen to be inconvenient. I can't see how her documented opposition to the AVE or support for the environment and women's issues is gossip for example.
The Spanish wikipedia is a perfect example of what wikipedia is not - an endless edit war with no attempt at debate discussion or compromise. Nonetheless the recent facts added to it concerning her political views will certainly go into this article as soon as it is unfrozen. Now I have told you how I propose to move forward - by adding sourced content and both points of view while letting the reader judge. What do you propose? In order for something to appear in the article, I would ask:
  1. Does it appear in reliable sources?
  2. Is it notable?
  3. Is it relevant to the subject?
Valenciano's proposed additions come with references from reliable sources. All the sources come from various types of media - so they certainly consider the information notable. Finally, they all refer to Navarro and her activities or beliefs, so they are definitely relevant. There could be a question of balance, but the additions cover a wide field and are not particularly positive or negative. There may be additional information which should be added, but I can't see any question that these details should be included in the article. Warofdreams talk 02:57, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed additions[edit]

{{editprotected}} Navarro has recently been challenged for the number one place on the Valencia list by Antonio Montalbán with sections of the party hostile to the current leader Llamazares also opposed to Navarro's reselection. [5] [6] [7]

{{editprotected}} {an additional source for the controversy surrounding her spouse's participation in Peru} [8]

{{editprotected}}{Navarro's response} Navarro denied she had acted improperly, stating that her spouse was accredited as an International Observer by the Peruvian National Electoral Commission and that neither the Spanish Embassy nor Spanish Government had objected to his participation. [9]

{{editprotected}} {response to Navarro's alleged debt controversy} An IU document later cast doubt on these allegations stating that Navarro had paid all her dues to the party. [10]

{{editprotected}} {To be added to lead} Navarro's main focus is on social issues, women and the environment.

{{editprotected}} Navarro is an opponent of the construction of the high speed AVE train in the Valencia region, arguing in the Cortes that it would be a train for the elite which would damage the environment and would harm the operation of conventional trains.
