I-585 end[edit]

According to the SCDOT traffic counts, I-585 ends at McCravy Drive. According to the NHS map, it ends at US 176. --NE2 22:59, 29 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It ends just south of the interchange with US 221 (before you get to the traffic light at McCravy Drive). It is cosigned for its entire length with US 176. As far as I can tell there is no route designated as "I-585 Business". South Carolina tends to sign business spurs and loops inconsistantly... I don't think it's customary to state the terminus as the name of the continuing route, but rather the closest intersecting route. Also, I think that regardless of the sign locations, this is probably the best place to designate the route terminus as it is also the end of controlled access.Lime in the Coconut 15:34, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I looked at the pictures in the article (those that worked) and what I could find from google, etc. It appears the southbound signs for 585 were removed after the interchange with US 221. A route confirmation assembly containing the SC 9 and US 176 shield appears just south of the intersection with McCravy Dr. However, the signs northbound from US 29 to McCravy still show I-585, US 176, SC 9 (no auxilaries or cardinal direction signs). I believe the first sign (nearest US 29) has the "TO" auxiliary above it rather than an "NORTH" but after that there are no such signs. Lime in the Coconut 16:03, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mileage[edit]

Why is mile marker 2 for this roadway farther South than that of mile marker 1 when I look at street view on Google maps and yet in the exit list here it is the opposite? NintendoTTTEfan2005 (talk) 01:58, 3 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I figured it out. Seems like I-585 is planned to be extended Northward to I-85 itself and the mileposts I saw on Google Street view were based on Pine Street's distance from its I-85 interchange. NintendoTTTEfan2005 (talk) 05:17, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I noticed that. I'm going to bring that up on the project page. ChessEric 23:38, 28 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thanks for doing that. NintendoTTTEfan2005 (talk) 23:39, 28 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
