Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because it is an educational non-profit institution that is missing on Wikipedia. There are a variety of other societies that exist and this wasn’t on the site. Thank you! 75.71.167.200 (talk) 04:01, 10 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This page should not be speedy deleted because...[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because I am working on updating the first paragraph to reflect why this is important to be included. I believe only a few lines of copy can reflect the impact this association has on research, scientific training, and even public policy worldwide. There are other associations similar to this one which have pages on Wikipedia and they are as follows:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Public_Health_Association https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Obesity_Society https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Diabetes_Association https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Society_for_Neuroscience https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Society_for_Molecular_Biology_and_Evolution

This is my first WikiPedia article and I would appreciate any guidance anyone may have to make this better!

Article needs extensive work[edit]

The article is currently little more than a semi-promotional placeholder. It heavily cites one source (either its own website or sources affiliated to the ISEE, such as the journal Epidemiology). I think that there is some merit in this article not being deleted, but it requires extensive work in terms of independently demonstrating the ISEE's influence on science etc. The overuse of URLs linked out to should be avoided.
