Then follow the proper process for doing so, which is to list it for discussion at WP:AFD; it's not going to get deleted just because you requested deletion here. However, please note that as long as the article is still here, the maintenance tags (wikify, uncat, etc.) stay on the article until the requested maintenance is performed.
