Fair use rationale for Image:RockBottomiyh.jpg[edit]

Image:RockBottomiyh.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. In Your House 16: Canadian Stampede remark:[edit]

The Source cited by the author is wrong I have the footage of the show, and it clearly states that the band playing O Canada is Farmer's Daughter. Can anyone confirm this?? since I can't find a source stating it online... Sinkholeca 02:04, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you can find that source, feel free to change it. In the mean time, the current information is sourced (the author of the source reviewed the show using a tape of the event, although he does say he didn't hear who Fink said they were and based it on what a reader sent in). 02:09, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

In Your House 10: Mind Games[edit]

I thought Mind Games, not Ground Zero, occurred in Louisville. Is there a source to look at?--Bedford 07:51, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mind Games was in Philly. Check out Mick Foley's book "Have a Nice Day!: A Tale of Blood and Sweatsocks" (Foley considers it one of the best matches of his career), the DVD "The Rise and Fall of ECW" since WWF and ECW did an angle (which is mentioned in the article. Plus these online sources: [1], [2]. TJ Spyke 08:15, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, and for years I thought it was Mind Games in Louisville. Who says you can't learn anything from Wikipedia. :D Thanks.--Bedford 08:20, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sub Titles[edit]

In the intro it says the first IYHs were merely numbered and then were later given names. This makes it sound as if some titles were retconned and if so I think it'd be worth noting with what IYH they first gave an official secondary title. From the posters it looks like 10: Mind Games but that's pure speculation. Tony2Times (talk) 22:16, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

From my understanding IYH 7 Good Friends, Better Enemies was the first one with a subtitle. My reasoning for this is a set of reviews I've been reading on the IYH shows has the first 6 referred to by number and the 7th one using the subtitle. (Loosie (talk) 12:54, 23 May 2008 (UTC))[reply]
I just confirmed this myself by going back and watching the first few In Your House PPVs, the first were just referred to as 'In Your House', and IYH 7 was referred to as "In Your House Good Friends, Better Enemies" in the intro and by the announcers as well. --Loosie (talk) 10:59, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I Honestly still can't see why subtitles are given to the first six events in the Dates & Venues section as no such titles were EVER used in the promotion or video/dvd packaging of those events. Hamishallan (talk) 23:16, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

As no one has replied i have removed the subtitles from the first 6 events. I feel this is a sensible edit as it is already stated at the beginning of the article that the events are numbered until In Your House 7: Good Friends Better Enimies.Hamishallan (talk) 19:28, 7 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In Your House: Beware of Dog 2[edit]

Savio Vega has never been the Million Dollar Champion. His Caribbean Strap Match with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, on May 28th 1996 at WWF In Your House: Beware Of Dog II, was not a Million Dollar Championship match (if anyone has the event on tape, I suggest they watch it for proof). When Austin lost the match, Ted DiBiase left the WWF and the Million Dollar Championship was abandoned. So, Savio Vega has never been the Million Dollar Champion. I once edited the article, as someone had put that Vega beat Austin for the Million Dollar Championship, however it has since been re-edited. I have removed part which said that Vega won the the Million Dollar Championship, once again. Stop adding as Vega never won the title because it wasn't even defended at the event. St Valentines Day Massacre[edit]

Was the last man standing match the first of its kind? If so, should that be mentioned? Mark handscombe (talk) 09:49, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Backlash[edit]

How come Backlash:IYH isn't listed on the grid as part of the IYH series even though it's listed at the end of the article? Tony2Times (talk) 16:13, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In Your House 19[edit]

Should it be mentioned that Goldust came with Luna Vachon and read "Green Eggs and Ham"? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.68.195.149 (talk) 22:58, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In this article? No. Maybe when that event gets its own article (the goal is to eventually create seperate articles like all current PPV's have). 16:56, 14 October 2008 (UTC)

De-Generation X: In Your House[edit]

Shouldn't the title of the Pay-Per-View read De-Generation X instead of D-Generation X? It is spelled with the "e" on the pay-per-view promotional poster right next to its section. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mrawlik (talkcontribs) 06:03, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That's because the DX logo uses a "e" even though WWE considers their name "D-Generation X". A Google search seems to show most don't use the "e" either (including IMDb). TJ Spyke 06:07, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dark matches[edit]

Some of these events appear to have dark matches at the end of the event. Is this correct? I thought the dark matches were to warm the crowd up before the Pay-per-view started? --Jameboy (talk) 22:04, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Usually, but not always. For example, WWE tends to have dark main events after SD tapings, something like ____ vs. ____ in a cage match seems to be common. It's an extra treat for the fans to entice them to go to the shows, instead of just staying at home to watch it on tv. ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 22:40, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Also, for several yes the IYH PPV's were only 2 hours long. They would also include those dark matches on different VHS releases as a way to entice people to buy the tapes (WWE should try that again, they might boost sales of the PPV's on DVD if they include the dark match as a bonus). TJ Spyke 04:01, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Is there any citation available for the dark matches that 'took place? There appears to be no indication that these were IN FACT any part of these In Your House events. I had the good fortune of attending In Your House 7 in 1996 and definitely DO NOT recall watching any matches involving The Undertaker, Mankind, Savio Vega or Steve Austin before, during OR after the Pay-Per-View broadcast. Backlash 1999[edit]

Backlash 1999 was NOT an In Your House PPV. Yes, the poster that was released months earlier does say In Your House on it, but at some point between the poster's release and the actual PPV itself, WWE dropped the In Your House name. If you watch the PPV, and even the episode of Sunday Night Heat that preceded the PPV, not once throughout the whole event is the name "In Your House" mentioned. Not by the commentators or wrestlers and not even an on-screen graphic. Also the cover of the original home video release does not say In Your House either. Every other In Your House from May 1995 until St. Valentine's Day Massacre has the name shown on screen, mentioned on screen and it's included on the cover of the home video release.
