Untitled[edit]

This is an important record in the trajectory of Sergio Mendes, because it has the spirit of the future group that became "Brasil-65" and then "Brasil-66"; and it was a very important step in the road of Sergio Mendes into the fame in the USA. The recording has all of the difficulties of a live recording made at a Bar or Restaurant: attending public noises like dishes and cutlery, the ever present coughing person, and several more; but the young performers did quite well and the public noises can be clearly heard diminishing as the band gets their full attention. The presence of the singer Wanda de Sah together with the guitar player Rosinha de Valença enhances the session over the already high level of Mendes ensemble. At the time of the recording, "Reza" was the tune played as the presentation card of the Sergio Mendes group. A true classic in the history of Bossa-Nova and Mendes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.100.180.20 (talk) 23:41, 13 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
