Improvements[edit]

This could do with some expert input on the Ikka holotype locality, some nice images of pseudomorphs and maps, as well as some more expert comment on isotope geochemistry. If someone has the energy and expertise it would be a good improvement.Octopodes 00:55, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ikaite as a temperature proxy?[edit]

Here's a press release re some new research on this topic: Scientists use rare mineral to correlate past climate events in Europe, Antarctica

I haven't seen the actual paper, which is to be published in the April 2012 issue of Earth and Planetary Science Letters. --Pete Tillman (talk) 04:55, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Picture[edit]

That picture is unhelpful. Is the ikaite the white stuff or the brown stuff ?Eregli bob (talk) 13:46, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Additionally, I think it would be helpful if there was a scale bar on this image. Apogalacticon (talk) 00:33, 5 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
