Come On Down![edit]

I have removed the following misleading comment that was made in relation to Turpie hosting The New Price Is Right in the early 1980s. Turpie never said that line. It was the program's announcer John Deeks who always said the "Come on down" bit. 203.214.56.217 00:49, 3 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Recent controversy[edit]

I have removed the following section until a credible source is included

Turps was recently in trouble for endorsing a nasal spray treatment for impotence. The spray is a joint venture between the Australian Medical Institute and little known Ballarat based pharmaceutical company "Gone the Flop?" Pty Ltd, owned and run by Dr Jack Stiffrod.
Turps was criticised by Federal Court Justice Kevin Lindgren for falsely endorsing the product. In the opinion of the Lindgren Turps had never been impotent and had engaged in a 'gross deception of the public'. A legal team representing 'Turps' denied this allegation, stating that the only time Turps had ever engaged in a 'gross deception of the public' was in 1991 when he stated that his new show Supermarket Sweep would be a 'quality program'. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mattinbgn (talkcontribs) 22:47, 3 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Actually, that's true. [ACCC Media Release http://www.accc.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/580800/fromItemId/622035]. The quote is probably in the transcript, but I don't think its particularly encyclopedic anyway. - Mb99 14:20, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dates[edit]

This articles seems to mention every single thing Turps has ever worked on, what it doesn't provide is dates or references for any of these claims. At the moment the article just reads like a poorly written resume. Can anyone at least provide the years he worked on the films and TV shows listed? Olivia Newton John[edit]

Is it worth mentioning ONJ would of only just turned 15 when they started dating? I know it was a different time but... was still illegal to have "relations"02:41, 17 January 2023 (UTC) 2404:4408:638C:5E00:E09C:F553:5069:71FB (talk) 02:41, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
