I thought I saw Julia Louis-Dreyfus listed in the credits as a guest star. Anyone else? --Bp0 00:34, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

She was listed. I saw that credit as well. Xenofan 29A 00:45, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why was the referece to the Annie Awards removed? Many would just mishear it as Emmy and the fact that Kent said Annie is an in refrence that could use some explination for people not in the industry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.87.206.228 (talk) 05:53, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia reference[edit]

I thought that this article should mention Wikipedia, as Snake Jailbird did on the show. It would be the same as American Dad's episode "Black Mystery Month". 65.92.100.130 21:06, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Wikipedia was mentioned in the scene where the prisoners had visiting hours. Miranda 00:52, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It wasn't a reference, it was a mention. We don't put mentions in cultural references sections, just lengthy parodies and songs. -- Scorpion0422 01:45, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
what's the difference between a refernece and a mention? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.65.101.45 (talk) 19:05, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reception Section[edit]

Why is this Robert Canning guy's review of the episode in this section? Isn't this supposed to be an encyclopedia? It seems a little pretentious to put one guys review of an episode in the reception section. Unless this guy is universally known as the definitive animated television reviewer and I was just uniformed. Anyway, I'm not going to remove it because that would be just as presumptuous as I feel its inclusion in the article was, and would probably start an edit war. -Gulp Dratsum (talk) 22:08, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. His review is in every episode from season 19 and most from season 18. I doubt he is notable. I have a feeling he is just there because it is easy to access his reviews (he does one for each episode), or to be able to put a reception section, which makes an article look better, as well as giving it some outside information. But you're right, if it was up to me the would not be there unless he really was a notable reviewer. Rhino131 (talk) 23:39, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've looked around at a few of the other season 19 episode articles and it's as you said. For all but the premiere episode the reception section is basically a review of Robert Canning's review. Which is kind of lame, and a low mark on the otherwise high quality of the article. While a good reception section would make the article look better, a bad reception section makes it look worse than a lack of a reception section would. I'd suggest removing the reception sections from all of this season's articles save for the premiere's as that is actually somewhat informative/useful. -Gulp Dratsum (talk) 00:34, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The main reason is that the reviews prove notability, and sure, he may only be a guy with IGN, but he's still a professional reviewer and it's better than nothing. Without the reviews, the only sourced stuff on many of these pages would be the plot sections, and the WP:EPISODE guidelines say that articles where the only sourced information is the plot should go. -- Scorpion0422 00:45, 5 December 2007 (UTC) And an encyclopedia that doesn't have detailed articles about television episodes would be a bad thing, why? .. I find Wikipedia to be somewhat useful and entertaining, but am I the only one who has noticed that it contains more information on Towelie than on 96 percent of all popes? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.146.38.212 (talk) 01:24, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I forgot about that, I suppose it does justify the inclusion. Without stuff like that, any episode could be deleted or merged. Still, is there anyone else that does reviews? Because if there was more than one opinion that would be better than just one guy. And if there was anyone from a established or well known magazine or website that would be even better. Rhino131 (talk) 01:58, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There isn't much from reliable sources, I think TV Squad occasionally does reviews. -- Scorpion0422 02:01, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, after the next episode airs I will try to take a look to see if they do a review. Rhino131 (talk) 02:12, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reference[edit]

I'm currently drunk and unable to make a concise edit; however, at the amusement park, "Mr. Frog's Mild Ride" is a reference to "Mr. Toad's Wild Ride," a song by Tower of Power. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.31.65.32 (talk) 07:16, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

another reference i just saw, is the prisoner in the movie marge watches has the number "JABF 19".. so im not sure if that should be in it ... jo —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.204.155.228 (talk) 20:07, 13 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
