this word appears as "hypotaxical" in a few places, apparently as a fancy way to say "subordinate"

de.wikipedia, and all of the english pages I found with google, use the term to refer to subordination of sentences, rather than individual words. At the very least, the example is not "common". 77.10.204.119 (talk) 08:45, 1 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
