Operating[edit]

A google search turns up several recent design papers using hybrid ternary codes in the implementation of such diverse things as holographic storage (h-ternary codes used in the page addressing), rf data communications (used as the line code implementation), etc. For something first published only a couple of years ago it seems to be fairly active.
