Common Englisn name?[edit]

Justanothersgwikieditor (talk · contribs) moved this article from Hyōtō Ryūkyū-koku ki to Record of Drifting to the State of Ryūkyū.[1] I don't have a strong opinion on this, but it should be noted that it is my translation of the common Japanese name. I am not aware of an English source working on this. --Nanshu (talk) 13:15, 11 April 2022 (UTC) Modified: 08:52, 16 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Nanshu: Hi, I thought that was the official English translation for the book name and hence moved the page and changed the lead. Since there is no official translation and in your words, a translation in your own words, reverting to the Japanese title will be much better and the previous lead restored. Sorry for the trouble and inconvenience caused. I would suggest adding a note that the English translation is translated and not an official English name. --Justanothersgwikieditor (talk)
I have since reverted to the original article name and also restored the lead with a slight explanation to the English translation. --Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 01:24, 12 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
