First Blu-ray/DVD rated GP?[edit]

The article previously said, "The DVD and Blu-ray release of House of Dark Shadows was the first film to be released in the US with a GP rating." For clarity, the GP rating only was used from 1970 to 1972 before being changed to PG, and many films that were originally rated GP had their ratings symbol changed by the Motion Picture Association before being released on DVD. However, I have confirmed at least one example of a film that was released on Blu-ray with a GP rating clearly displayed on the box before the Dark Shadows films -- The Cowboys, which was released on Blu-ray in 2007. As can be seen from the images here, The Cowboys retained its GP rating. I have no idea what was the first film to be released on DVD or Blu-ray while retaining its GP rating, but House of Dark Shadows, released in 2012, could not have been the first. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 16:14, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
