This article reads a lot like an ad. Maybe the awards and recognition section isn't so necessary!67.252.23.196 (talk) 21:12, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Get on with it!122.59.241.220 (talk) 04:06, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

August 2nd Blackout[edit]

Almost all the websites hosted with Hostgator were down for around 16 hours yesterday, this has been posted on the article for Hostgator's parent company (Endurance International Group). Can some of that be pasted over to here? Due to the downtime and the way the company handled it there's a lot of people leaving and thinking about law suits. (Kinda sad, Hostgator had good service until a month ago) Ikmxx (talk) 16:53, 3 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Is there news coverage? Can you provide a link? We can't use personal experience nor forum postings as a source for content, we need sources that meet our reliable sources guideline. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 17:18, 3 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, there's been coverage:

http://mashable.com/2013/08/02/bluehost-down/
Here's their blog, and a lot of angry comments:

Their forum is getting ugly and the staff are not replying anymore:

The forums and comment postings are irrelevant for Wikipedia purposes - we can't use them as a source, and attempting to write about activity on them would be original research.
From the reliable sources listed above, all that can be said is that there was an outage - and not much else. To add anything further would require reliable sources that actually state the additional information. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 03:38, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
