Clean up[edit]

This page needs a lot of work. I tried to clean up a little, but we need to do a great bit of work here. There needs to be some seperation between what the book is from its critical acclaim to get NPOV. //BankingBum (talk) 22:37, 21 May 2008 (UTC)$$[reply]

Points of View[edit]

I'm trying hard to present a neutral point of view about Edward Elliott and his opponents, without trying to neutralise Elliott's own rather abrasive opinions. It's difficult to pitch this right and any suggestions for improvement would be appreciated. (Or just have a bash at the text of the article itself.) It is difficult to resist the temptation to update Elliott where this might make his argument more acceptable to modern concerns! In particular, I'm not sure I understand Elliott himself on the difference between what is written inside the scroll and what is written on the outside of the scroll. I've studied his own beautiful chart long and hard, but I still don't get it. Can anyone help? I suspect that many people assume that a book written all that time ago must be well past its useful life. But the more I read of him, the less I think this true. His old-fashioned thoroughness in digging into every corner of Revelation means he saw much that fashion-conscious modernity misses out upon. Coxparra (talk) 15:46, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
