– It is not apparent that the 1993 novel is the primary topic of this much older common phrase. Quite frankly, the forthcoming big-budget and star-studded Dungeons & Dragons movie incorporating this name already has many times the pageviews of the 1993 novel. • Support per nomination. There are 23 entries listed upon the Honour Among Thieves (disambiguation) page, with no indication that the 1993 novel's historical standing is so immense that it dwarfs the combined prominence of the remaining 22 entries. Would also support Honour Among Thieves (disambiguation)Honor Among Thieves since, among the 23 entries, only six use the form "Honour", in contrast to the 17 entries that use "Honor". —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 04:53, 24 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    • I thought about the Honour/Honor thing, but didn't want to stir the WP:ENGVAR hornet's nest. I have no objection to that being the landing place for the disambiguation page. BD2412 T 05:03, 24 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • support But there are five novels with this name the parenthetical should be '1993 novel' or 'Jeffrey Archer novel'. Also, i don't think this case of WP:ENGVAR is enough of a WP:SMALLDETAIL for it to be an effective dab.—blindlynx 10:54, 24 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment. It may be noted that, although there is a total of 23 dab page entries, 13 of those are WP:DABMENTIONS, thus leaving ten Wikipedia entries. Among the ten, only two use the form "Honour" — Honour Among Thieves (novel), the sole such-titled novel to have a Wikipedia entry as well as Honour Among Thieves (1954 film), the British release title for the French crime drama Touchez pas au grisbi. The remaining eight Wikipedia entries use "Honor". —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 00:24, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    • Apparently the D&D movie is being subtiled as "Honour Among Thieves" in UK promotional materials. While this one is still a PTM, it is common for the alternative spelling to be used in marketing where that spelling is used. I think blindlynx is probably correct that this is not distinguishing. BD2412 T 00:36, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The D&D movie, however, is American. If its British spelling is taken into account, we could likewise point to Honor Among Thieves — American printing of Jeffrey Archer's novel. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 00:55, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
We could, but that would just go to the point that the spelling variation is not distinguishing. BD2412 T 00:57, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support the DAD movie doesn't indicate its commonly called this but does get many more views so probably no primary topic. Crouch, Swale (talk) 10:36, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support novel move, move DAB page to Honor Among Thieves - The number of views for the upcoming film is irrelevant, given its is not an exact title match and because it is artificially high due to public consciousness at the moment. Per WP:DABNAME, the page should be named per the spelling that reflects the majority of items on the page, that being "Honor...". -- Netoholic @ 11:38, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    • I agree with your outcome, but I do think the D&D film is relevant. First, it's a subtitle in a genre where media tends to be referred to by subtitles. Second, yes it's inflated at the moment, but it is significant, I think, that the release of the trailer got more page views in one day than the novel currently at that title has gotten in its entire time on Wikipedia. I am not suggesting that the film is or will become the primary topic of the phrase, as it is derivative of its original meaning, but it is not plausible that the novel will ever regain primacy relative to the film.
