2007 comment[edit]

I deleted this bit on Isaac Newton in the Classical Liberalism section, because Isaac Newton doesn't really have anything to do with classical liberalism. He may be the culmination of the rationalists, but I don't think we need to mention that here.

This article is pretty bad. Wouldn't it be a lot better to make a link to History of Liberalism, and then add the history of how the US decided to give Liberalism a new name (1950- forward)? Carewolf 11:09, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Would be much better if whoever wrote most of it came back with citations... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.155.196.211 (talk) 16:06, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lead section[edit]

The lead should introduce the topic but actually is about how libertarianism iw a revival of classical liberalism. Suggest changing the lead to better introduce the subject matter.

Also, references to the modern heirs of classical liberalism belong at the end of the article.
