Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because Hippo Campus needs a Wikipedia page, and is a legitimate band. This page has been created on behalf of the Hippo Campus members by their management. --Loganthirtytigers (talk) 17:22, 22 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because this page has been edited by Hippo Campus's management, Thirty Tigers. This page has been edited to restore its credibility as a reliable source of information about the band and their accomplishments. Hippo Campus needs this page to represent themselves and their music. Again, this has been created by Hippo Campus's management. It should not be deleted! I've declined the speedy deletion tag, as I do feel they are a notable band. However, I did so because I believe they can meet Wikipedia's standard for having an article, and its respective standards for band's having articles, not because this article was created by the band's management. Quite the opposite, while its good that you've declared your connection to the band, Wikipedia has Conflict of Interest guidelines, and strongly discourages that bands/managers write their own articles. This is because, as you can imagine, it can be hard to stay unbiased when writing about oneself, and Wikipedia strives to keep their content neutral. Additionally, Wikipedia is not a means of promotion, and yet, the article, as I found it, sounds like an advertisement for the band.
Anyways, I'm not familiar with the band, but I can try to help a bit. Let me know if you have any questions. Sergecross73 msg me 14:10, 23 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Band members[edit]

Don't add DeCarlo Jackson as a band member unless you can provide a reliable source. As far as I can find he toured with them, but is not part of the band. Meters (talk) 21:50, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sources for the above are from as recently as June 2017. In Aug 2016 Jackson described himself as a "freelance multi-instrumentalist and session musician" who plays with six different bands (including Hippo Campus) and has freelanced with other groups. All the descriptions I've found of Hippo Campus describe it a s a quartet, with no mention of Jackson. https://www.theodysseyonline.com/let-voices-be-heard Meters (talk) 21:58, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Tarzan Reject(s)[edit]

I'm finding conflicting sources on whether the first EP was titled Tarzan Reject or Tarzan Rejects (note plural) - if anyone can find a definitive source (preferably from the band itself), that'd be appreciated. With that said, I'm leaving it as plural for now until it can be proved otherwise. JCBird1012 (talk) 14:21, 2 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have not checked all citations but these two are no good anymore:
