Mystery Hillman[edit]

Is anyone able to identify this old Hillman, please? The overall profile is similar to that of the first Hillman Minx, but the first Minx was very little changed from its predecessor so that is not definitive. According to the UK government data base, the car was manufactured in 1935, though that, presumably, is simply the year a government employee or agent copied to and / or from a form. Persuasive but not conclusive. Same thoughts apply to the engine capacity which is given as 1124 cc.

Thank you for any inspiration Charles01 (talk) 09:14, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'll go along with a 1935 Minx. According to A-Z of cars of the 1930s the 1935 models had the divided front side windows which this one has. In 1934 they were one piece. Malcolma (talk) 09:53, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, Malcolm. Regards Charles01 (talk) 11:50, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
